Privacy policy

This policy describes how ROY i Uppland AB, which runs Ardbeg Embassy, processes personal data on the website, what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

Data controller

ROY i Uppland AB, Reg. no. 556643-1184, Västerlånggatan 68, 111 29 Stockholm. Questions about personal data should be sent to info@ardbegembassy.se or call +46 8 791 90 90.

Data we process

Enquiries about groups and tastings

When you send an enquiry, we process the data you provide, for example name, email address, phone number, date, number of guests and what you write in the message.

The data is used solely to answer and handle your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, we process your email address to send news about tastings, events and new casks. The legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Signing up for events

If you sign up for a tasting or an event by email, we process the data you provide in order to confirm and hold your place.

Table bookings

Table bookings are made via BokaBord, which is responsible for the data you provide there under its own terms and privacy policy.

If you book by phone or email, we process the data you provide in order to receive and hold the booking.

Cookies and web statistics

The website uses necessary cookies in order to function. Analytics cookies are only set after you give your consent in the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the About cookies link at the bottom of the page.

Who can access the data

The data is handled by staff at Ardbeg Embassy who need it in their work.

In addition, it may be processed by our providers of web hosting, email, newsletter and booking services, as data processors acting on our instructions. We never sell your data.

The contact page shows a map from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies and process data in accordance with Google's policy.

Some providers may process data outside the EU and EEA, in which case the transfer takes place with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

How long we keep the data

We keep data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. An enquiry is kept while we handle it and for a limited time afterwards.

A newsletter sign-up is kept until you unsubscribe. Records that count as accounting material are kept for as long as the Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires.

Your rights

You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, request that data be erased or that processing be restricted, object to processing, and receive the data you have provided in a machine-readable format.

If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that has already taken place.

Contact us at info@ardbegembassy.se if you want to exercise any of your rights. If you are not satisfied with how we process your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
